Flashback, it’s one week since Blankets and Wine, the picnic-style,music-centric festival held for the love of music and fun-loving folks and this year’s 10th edition was no different.
Celebrities, friends, and families showed up in colourful, classy, and chic outfits, mats, snacks, and drinks to have a good time. Hosted by House of DJs, Chipper Cash joined the Blankets family as a Platinum sponsor for this year’s vibrant event that was held at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Sunday 27th, 2022.
Following an almost two-year pause due to a ban on physical events over the COVID-19 pandemic, the numbers were impressive. From Gen Z to Millenials, everyone came in dressed to the nines, ready to enjoy live acts filled with a variety of culinary delights.
The Chipper B&W Experience
Chipper Cash offered a unique value proposition for revellers attending the 10th Anniversary of Blankets and wine this year, giving them exclusive access to the best music experience in town at a fraction of the price. And they delivered.
Let’s begin with the ticket verification at the gate which was a very quick but well-handled process. When you walked up to the gate Chipper branding adorned the barriers letting you know that you were special for choosing Chipper as the payment partner, this was further emphasised by the ticket agents clad in Chipper apparel who would welcome you, scan the QR Code on your virtual ticket and give you a wristband that granted you access to the Chipper Cash Experience, which was undoubtedly the best consumer experience at Blankets and Wine.
This was further made evident when one accessed the event grounds where subtle but visible Chipper Branding reminded you that they were Platinum sponsors of the event, access to the tent was invite-only further heightening the exclusiveness of the experience.

Purple, white and black the Chipper Brand colours covered every inch of the tent, from the plush white sofas, to the 360 Camera experience. Once in the tent, one was greeted by the warm smiles of the ushers who were ready to make you even more comfortable than you were already are and take your drink order while you settled in. The cheeky Chipper branding even extended to the drink menu with drinks like Bank on it , Chip away, Move freely and Chip it.
For entertainment, the crowd got serenaded by the likes of Ebrahim Soul’O, Troy Music, Rwanda’s Bruce Melodie, DJs Bankrobber & Alisha, Cosign Yenze and Kenya’s Nviiri the Storyteller also entertained the crowd and later on our very own Zex Bilangilangi and Spice Diana took to the stage, concluding the entire night with their smash hits. Chipper guests had the envious position of being able to rub shoulders with these artists and other celebrities like Chipper ambassador Anne Kansiime in the Chipper Cash tent. And this is nothing but a glimpse into the remarkable Chipper Experience.
This year’s festivities saw masses attend the event, not just because of the hiatus of the event from the social calendar but because of the unprecedented accessibility that Chipper Cash offered its users from the crazy discounts on the tickets to the unbeatable user experience.
