We have no plans of acquiring Blackberry: Samsung

This week has been filled with reports that indicated a probable Blackberry take over by Samsung. Today the Korean electronics Giant has come out to confirm that they have no plans to acquire BlackBerry, denying a Reuters report that reported Samsung’s desire to the clambering phone maker for up to $7.5 billion.

In a statement released by Samsung, the company made it clear that the media reports of an acquisition are “groundless.” Reuters had reported earlier in the day that it had spoken to a source and seen documents that showed Samsung had planned to buy the Canadian company. On the other-side, BlackBerry has also cleared the air and confirmed Samsung’s story.
