WBS TV officially ends its operations in Uganda

New investor to take it on

Wavamunno Broadcasting Station (WBS), one of Uganda’s oldest Television stations will cease operations in Uganda effective today, 14th December 2016. The station was recently placed under receivership by Uganda Revenue Authority to recover over UGX 7 Billion in unpaid taxes. The tax Authority hoped to turn around the company with new management but it seems all efforts and strategies that were tried out would not cope with the current broadcasting standards set by the likes of NTV and NBS.
