Now that the initial work around to get Google services on the Huawei Mate 30 is no longer working, there is a method using VMOS app that can install Google Mobile Services on the banned Huawei phones.
Apart from using the now removed Izplay app, one can accomplish this with a back up file from a Mate 30 that has Google installed, then store the back up in a new phone, but this method is not easy to perform. The VMOS app makes life easier, its not as good as Izplay method but it gets the job done.
This app virtualizes another native Android operating system on your own phone, like a parallel space or parallel system. With VMOS, you can switch between real and virtual systems at any time. The data and applications are stored locally. It also comes up with the root environment.
The VMOS app method is easy for the average user, all you have to do is to install the app and you are done. For the advanced users, we shall show you how to install a virtual machine (VM) run it in the Mate 30 Pro. Virtual machines are based on computer architectures and provide functionality of a physical device. Once opened, there is Google Play Store pre-installed all you can do is click it and log into your Google account and it will work like on any Android Phone.
Everything will work expect Google Pay and Netflix of any thing that required DRM access. Also it should be noted that the speed of the VMOS app is not as fluid as the Operating System on the phone. This means the frame rate is not as high as running it directly on the phone but its adequate for normal use.
You can play YouTube videos and everything is normal but the frame rate is not as high as its about 25-30 frames per second. Also the downside is that the max playback resolution is 480p this means no HD video streaming. You can also play a YouTube video when the screen is locked this means even if you lock the phone the video in the VMOS app can keep playing in the background. You can also mute the VM.
There are also navigation keys on the VM, just swipe up to reveal the navigation keys on the Mate 30. Tap home to get out of the VM or tap on the VMOS app icon to go back.
