VLC one of the most popular and reliable media players is coming to Windows Phone OS. This was confirmed in an email by the app’s lead developer Felix Paul Kühne. According to the wp-hub the app will be out sometime this year. At the moment, the team is busy working on the Windows 8 RT flavor of the app, and the focus will move to the Windows Phone flavor of the software thereafter. We can’t hide our excitement either and we believe this is great news for Windows Phone faithful. With VLC on board we hope to play more video formats on windows phone 8 devices. The app is expected to be ready for all by end of year.
