The body has unveiled a one-paged Lean Format of Memorandum and Articles of association, developed to help improve time taken to register a business, and to simplify the company registration process.

So, instead of using bulky booklets of articles to complete company incorporation, you can opt for the new, simple and efficient one-paged format.

URSB has also developed an SMS notification platform precisely to be used to update clients on status of their submissions in real time.

The one-paged format for memarts, and the SMS notification platform, have been designed to offer user friendly services and will provide compatibility with existing IT systems.

The body assures that their introduction will boost service delivery and greatly reduce on registration times, eliminate storage of bulk copies of company documents, and promote ease of doing business in the country. Additionally, they believe it will allow for instant feedback to clients on status of submitted documents.

Speaking at the launch, the URSB Registrar General, Bemanya Twebaze said the new additions are part of their deliberate strategy to simplify registration services for their clientele and promote the country’s competitiveness.

“This is a transformation initiative because it addresses what I think is one of the key challenges most institutions in Uganda face today – the gaps in delivering timely, faster and easier services to enable our customers save on process man-hours.”

Bemanya added that the strategy is a “crucial step in driving success of the bureau in creating value for our customers while improving service delivery”.
