    Uganda’s The Medical Concierge Group named amongst the most inspirational private companies in Africa

    The Medical Concierge Group has been named as one of the fastest growing and dynamic privately-owned businesses across Africa in the healthcare and education category by the London Stock Exchange Group.

    The findings were published in the second edition of the“Companies to Inspire Africa” 2019 report; a prestigious report that identifies Africa’s most inspirational and dynamic private,high-growth companies.

    The report aims at giving such companies global recognition and to attract foreign investment into the continent.A total of 360 companies were selected from 32 countries. In Uganda, 30 companies were named alongside The Medical Concierge Group including Aptech Africa ltd, Britania Allied Industries, Growmore seeds and Chemicals ltd, Jesa Farm Dairy Limited, Naseco 1996 Limited,Nina Interiors Limited, Q-sourcing Limited, Shiv International Limited, Victoria Seeds Limited,Village Energy Limited, among others.

    David Schwimmer, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of LSEG noted: “London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘Companies to Inspire Africa’ report showcases inspirational and entrepreneurial businesses from across the African continent, representing a wide variety of industries and countries”.This report is aimed at improving awareness of the region’s most dynamic companies,outstanding innovations, growth and entrepreneurship in the various sectors to a global audience.

    For a company to be listed, it has to be privately owned and consequently show an excellent rate of growth and potential to power African development.

    According to the Managing Director of The Medical Concierge Group, Dr. Davis Musinguzi, “We are honoured to make it to the London Stock Exchange’s list of Companies to Inspire Africa. It is a great springboard and encourages us to continue serving the people of Africa with innovative digital health to bring quality and affordable healthcare access for everyone in need,” here marked.

    The listing comes at a time when TMCG has rolled out hi-tech, hi-tech, hi-touch products and services with a tremendous impact across the Africa. Products like Mirembe, a personal health assistant using Artificial Intelligence for unaided triage and medical consultations; Services like the lab sample pickup and medicine delivery aimed at improving on the efficiency and convenience for its clients.

    This year’s report was created together with partner organizations like Asoko Insight,Price waterhouse coopers (PwC), the African Development Bank and CDC Group. The selection was made from a pool of 4,000 companies currently operating in Africa in various fields of endeavor.
