When do the price changes take effect?

New members who sign up will see the new price for the plans immediately. For existing members, the platfom says the update will roll out over the coming weeks from their next billing cycle.

Existing members will be notified by email, as well as within the Netflix app 30 days before the new prices are applied to them (this is only for auto-upgrades). The exact timing will depend on the specific member’s billing cycle.

With the new pricing, Netflix aims to make its services more accessible to a broader range of viewers in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company’s extensive library of feature films, documentaries, TV shows, anime, award-winning Netflix originals, and more is sure to provide hours of entertainment for viewers in the region.
