    Uber Uganda increases fares on UberX, AGAIN!

    Barely four months since their last price hike, Uber has today increased its fares on UberX yet again and this doesn’t affect Uberboda. Just like in their previous statement and reason for hike, on UberX, Uber says that they still remains committed to providing a reliable earning opportunity for driver-partners, as well as a reliable and affordable service for their clients. With this in mind, from 14 October 2019, the price hikes will be as well.

    According to Uber Uganda in a statement about the price hike on UberX;

    While we have always tried to keep prices as low as possible, we need to be aware of the increased costs for driver-partners. This comes after implementing an in-depth earnings review to ensure that the Uber app continues to be a reliable economic opportunity for driver-partners, as well as an affordable option for riders.

    According to Uber, the new fare structure on UberX means that they can invest even further in Uber’s existing technology – with improvements that we’ve recently introduced to help keep you safer on the road.
