Twitter has been seen as that social network without limits, and today the company has taken a step to prevent harassment by prohibiting posting revenge porn or none accordant photos using the platform. According to Buzzfeed reports that Twitter made two significant changes to its terms of service it also issued a new FAQ to tackle this issue.
The new terms of service, have phrases like: “You may not post intimate photos or videos that were taken or distributed without the subject’s consent.” And under “threats and abuse,” the company added: “users may not post intimate photos or videos that were taken or distributed without the subject’s consent.” The penalty for violating the policy could result in a user’s account being locked.
Twitter has in the passed been used to harass and abuse people especially targeting women.
