Despite the recent move to using over-the-top (ott) services that support voice calling, legacy circuit-switched voice is not yet dead, as many Ugandans use it as a primary form of communication with their mobile phones. The advent of Voice over the internet apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, etc, have in the past threatened the existence of legacy voice calls as many of the millennials been seen to shift to using such apps due to the then expensive voice charges. With time, most of the telecoms in Uganda have revised their voice rates and so has Airtel Uganda in recent times.
A lot has changed with Airtel Uganda’s voice product portfolio since we last made a similar article in 2016, at the time they had bundles consisting of; Power Tooti, Kawa, Pakalast, New Pakalast, and New Kawa. Today somethings have changed, they have Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Night, Kyabise Combo, and Zaweze Bundles. Below is a list of all Airtel Uganda voice bundles.
