    These are the Airtel shops where you can get your SIM card replaced

    Replacing a SIM card recently as been as hard as Besigye’s shot at the presidency but it seems all this is coming to pass after NIRA handed over SIM reading machines to UCC. UCC in return distributed these to telecom companies under stringent conditions.

    We have now come to witness the fruits of this labor as Airtel is amongst the few to list outlets where its customers can actually purchase new or have their SIM cards replaced.

    We all know that getting our hands on new SIM cards has never been hard than its been recently but Airtel has you covered in these seven outlets.

    Before we even get there, there are the required documents that you must have before a new SIM is issued to you.

    • Original National ID (For Ugandans)
    • Passport (For Foreigners)
    • Letter from the police  stating the loss of your SIM card.

    For now these are the only Airtel shops/service center authorised to carry out these activities and where they are found

    Kampala

    • Ntinda Shop – Opposite the Mosque
    • Airtel Head Office Shop – Clement Hill
    • Plaza – Jinja Road opposite KCB
    • Forest Mall Shop – Lugogo Bypass

    Gulu

    • Airtel Gulu Shop – Plot 24, Coronation Road.

    Mbarara

    • Airtel Mbarara Shop – High Street

    Mbale

    • Airtel Shop – Republic Street.

    Airtel warns that SIM card replacements can only be done by the respective SIM card owner not a representative at only UGX 2,000.
