Did anyone ask for a razor thin display? Well, even if you never LG has got you covered.The company has just shown off how skinny it’s latest line of display technology has gotten. So, how thing is this thing anyway? According to Gizmodo, the new 1080p HD display LG’s showcasing will be perfect for giant smartphones at 5.2-inches big and just 2.2mm thin. The bezel will also be as thin as 2.3mm with floating glass effect.
For those wondering how LG managed to get its display so thin. Wonder no more, as LG has implemented a new touchscreen technology dubbed Advanced One-Glass Solution where dual flexible printed circuits are “inserted between the panel and touch film, reducing the number of lines on the panel by more than 30 percent.” So for those into “Galaxy Note” type of screens on their smartphones, get ready for this technology is LG’s upcoming mobile devices.
