Google has released the results of its 2019 Year in Search, which outlines the biggest trends based on searches conducted in Globally and also including specific countries over the past year. The sad part is that data for searches in Uganda alone are unavailable for yet another year and we hope this will change in the near future.
Trending searches showed Global’s interest in News, People, local celebrities, Movies and events, songs and TV shows each giving a top 10 search per category.
The top sports searches were dominated by the Rugby and ICC Cricket World Cup of India Vs South Africa, and athletes like Antonio Brown. Lets not forget TV shows that rocked 2019 top of which included Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, and Umbrella Academy.
The top searched song that rocked 2019 include Lil NasX’s Old Town Road while the top searched actor and movie include Jussie Smollett and Avengers: Endgame Respectively. Other movies that appeared in the top 10 include; Joker, Captain Marvel, Acquaman and the Lion King.
