School, oh school. The circle of friends, the nights of getting black out drunk, the exams stress. A lot goes on inside the school walls. It’s a special moment when you finish your course with good grades. Getting your hands on that transcript you’ve toiled for, almost 20 years later. And then the graduation. Wow. Everything seems perfect. Maybe.
Once you graduate the world is your oyster but figuring out what to do next can be a daunting task. TernParte Uganda is part of TernParte East Africa which was founded in 2016. The objective is to ease the search for internships and fresh graduate jobs in East Africa. They are currently operating in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

TernParte Uganda aims at connecting students and graduates seeking internships with Ugandan employers through an online platform where they can seamlessly interact.
To be able to connect to a potential internship or fresh graduate job, you need to register as a job seeker with a valid email address and a telephone number. After registering, you can then complete your profile by clicking “Create CV”. This your CV doubles as your profile and therefore you don’t need to upload a cover letter. The CV is created by simply filling the blank spaces. Adding all the necessary details creatively and comprehensively while creating this CV increases your chances of getting called up. You also need to upload your photo. Creating this account is free.

Employers have different recruiting criteria and timelines. So applying for 5 or more suitable internships may be to your great advantage. After you successfully apply, you will see a “Waiting” status on your application. The employer may accept or reject your application. The status will change to “Approved” or “Rejected” if the employer accepts or rejects your application respectively.

Keeping an eye on their website, Facebook or Twitter accounts will avail you all the required intel about new internships and available jobs.
So when the dust of the graduation ceremony finally settles, and as soon as you hang up that graduation gown, be sure you do a favor to all the hardwork and endurance you put in. You don’t have to be on the move until your shoe soles are deformed. Just create a succulent profile on TernParte, apply and then thank me later.
