Sony’s presence in the top ranked smartphone manufacturers has been a little invisible, and it has been quite difficult to make a comparison of the company’s devices with the likes of Samsung, Huawei, and Apple. This year, at the MWC 2019, the brand has sought a saviour.
After last year’s Xperia XZ3, we were anticipating the release of an XZ4 this time round but Sony proved rumours wrong. With not much said about the phones to be released at the MWC, the company has chosen to rebrand its mobile phone brand, beginning with a new fresh design.
Sony unveiled three devices: the Xperia 1 – which happens to be the successor to the Xperia XZ3; the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus – which are the budget friendly alternatives. The unique feature about all the three being an ultra-tall 21:9 aspect ratio.
Sony Xperia 1
The Xperia 1 is the first to have a 4K HDR OLED screen measuring 6.5 inches. If you compare it with any other 6.5-inch screen on the market, the Xperia’s aspect ratio makes it taller than all of them.

It has a triple camera system on the back with a trio of 12 megapixel lenses, Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Sony Xperia 10
The Xperia 10 has a smaller 6-inch LCD screen, comes with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and an average Snapdragon 630 processor. A dual set up of 13- and 5-megapixel cameras on the rear, and a 2,870 mAh battery sum up the specifications in brief.

Sony Xperia 10+
The Xperia 10 Plus has a 6.5-inch panel though with an LCD display and lower resolution, uses a Snapdragon 636 chip along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The dual set up of 12- and 8-megapixel cameras on the rear plus a 3,000 mAh battery pack sum it up.
Availability
The Xperia 10 and 10 Plus are set to be released on March 18th, while the flagship Xperia 1 will come out sometime in late April. The Xperia 10 will cost $350, while the Xperia 10 Plus will cost $430.
