Snapchat adds more My AI features for plus subscribers

Snapchat has introduced new features that allow Snapchat+ subscribers to engage with the in-app chatbot, My AI. This addition enables users to send Snaps of their activities and receive a generative Snap back from the chatbot, creating a unique and interactive conversation experience.

My AI has been previously used by Snapchatters as a creative tool to explore various topics, ask questions, and seek advice, ranging from movies and sports to fashion and recommendations for special events like prom.

The latest addition to My AI’s capabilities is the ability to respond to images shared by users. By snapping a photo of their pizza, outfit of the day (OOTD), or even their beloved pets, you can receive a personalized Snap back from My AI.

For example, if you share a picture of your latest grocery purchase, My AI might suggest a recipe based on the items you’ve got. It’s an entertaining way to enhance your conversations and add an element of surprise and creativity to your Snaps.

Snapchat mentions that all messages exchanged with My AI, including Snaps, are stored for product improvement purposes. Whereas the feature is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful, or misleading information, mistakes may occur. So, you’d rather not rely solely on My AI for advice and to provide feedback if you encounter any issues or concerns.

Additionally, all messages sent to My AI, including generative photos, are saved until manually deleted. It’s crucial to be aware of this and exercise caution when sharing personal information or sensitive content.

The feature has been rolled out alongside other artificial intelligence enhancements within the Snapchat app. Users can now include My AI in group chats by mentioning it with an “@” symbol. Additionally, AI is leveraged to provide recommendations for places and suggest lenses, further enhancing the Snapchat experience.
