In a bid to help Ugandans abide buy the quarantine imposed by the president, Shell Uganda has unveiled plans to make free home deliveries of Shell Gas. This will save Shell gas users the hustle of having to leave their houses and ensure that they have the necessary gas they need for cooking delivered to their doorstep.
After the president recently announced the mandatory quarantine, several companies have come up with ingenious ways to stay in business, and given the fact that many cars are parked in people’s compounds, fuel sales are expected to drop in the next few weeks. Shell Uganda is thus bring the service to their customers closer. Shell gas deliveries will be available to people in Kampala and Entebbe, and the company hopes to extend this services in other regions.
In the tweet below it clearly indicates that free deliveries will be made everyday from 8am to 4pm, before the 7pm curfew. This service is available seven days a week. The company has agents using motorbikes and delivery trucks it began on the 1 April 2020. The cost of the Shell gas cylinders
If you want a new gas cylinder, you will have to part with UGX 189,000 for the 6kg cylinder, UGX 291,000 for the 12kg metallic cylinder, UGX 622,000 for the 45kg cylinder and UGX 341,000 for the composite cylinder. For refills; 45kg, 12kg and 6kg with refills going for UGX 320,000, UGX 110,000 and UGX 57,000 respectively.
