Samsung’s Tizen ZEQ smartphone readied for MWC Next Month

A smartphone that looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been shown off in the press photo today that has come to be known as the Samsung ZEQ 9000 . The difference here is that it’s running a totally different OS, iteration of Samsung’s own Tizen for 2014 with a UI that looks flat just like we saw on the company’s recent galaxy tab pros at CES. The company already sent off press invites for the unveiling of this product for next month.

Rumored specs of this phone include

    • A 4.8-inch display with WXGA (1280 x 720 pixel) resolution
    • 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
    • Samsung’s Tizen OS for 2014.
    • Dimensions are  136.1 x 69.1mm body
    • 3G and 4G LTE connectivity

We are not sure on what Samsung will do on the app side of this as this can make or break an ecosystem (cough cough Blackberry!!). While Samsung’s Tizen event at MWC 2014 set to take place on the 23rd of February, this device shows the 24th marked on the calendar.
