    A look at Samsung’s new Galaxy A series, specifications, and differences

    If you were to look out for the brand with the most number of series on the market, it would have to be Samsung. From the J’s, the A’s, the M’s, the S’s, and the Notes; the line up is literally ‘crowded’, yet every other year welcomes a set of new releases.

    In a move to create better competition with its rivals in China, Samsung decided to do away with the J series and merge it with the A series. We have known the Galaxy J series to comprise of entry-level affordable devices. A merger with the Galaxy A series would imply an affordable pricing with premium features and design.

    Indeed, in the new Galaxy A series, we see the company exhibiting the best of premium features and design to more affordable phones, such as multiple rear cameras, in-screen fingerprint scanners, and its Infinity Display.

    Here is a quick look at the Galaxy A series, starting from the most expensive going down to the most affordable.

    Galaxy A80

    The Galaxy A80 comes with a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, which is edge-to-edge, and has no notch. It features a Snapdragon 730 processor with 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and comes with no microSD.

    A triple camera array of 48MP main camera + 8MP ultra wide angle + TOF depth camera awaits you, with all the cameras rotating, so you can use them as front cameras too. A 3700mAh battery with 25-watt fast charge sums it up.

    Galaxy A70

    The A70 sports a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, with a teardrop notch. It has a Snapdragon 730 processor, with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, coming with a microSD slot.

    It houses a triple camera setup of 32MP main camera + 8MP ultra wide angle + TOF depth cam, plus a 32MP front camera. To this you add a 4500mAh battery.

    Galaxy A50

    The Galaxy A50 features a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, with a U-shape notch. The processor is a Exynos 7 Octa make, running on 6GB RAM and internal storage of 64GB with a microSD card slot.

    A triple camera array of 25MP main camera + 8MP ultra wide angle + 5MP TOF depth camera, plus a 25MP front camera welcomes you. To this you add a battery capacity of 4000mAh with 15-watt fast charge.

    Galaxy A40

    The A40 sports a 5.9-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, with a teardrop notch. It comes with an Exynos 7 Octa processor, with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM plus microSD slot.

    It has a dual rear camera setup of 16MP main camera + 5MP ultra wide angle, and a 25MP front camera sensor. The battery capacity is 3100mAh with 15-watt fast charge.

    Galaxy A30

    On the Galaxy A30, the display is a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, with a U-shape notch. It features an Exynos 7 Octa processor, with 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 64GB plus a slot for microSD.

    It has two rear cameras having 16MP main camera + 5MP ultra wide angle sensors, and has a 16MP front camera sensor. The battery is a 4000mAh with 15-watt fast charge.

    Galaxy A20

    The A20 sports a 6.4-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, with a teardrop notch. It runs on an Exynos 7884 processor, with 3GB RAM and internal storage of 32GB plus an additional slot for microSD.

    It has a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. The battery life is up to 4000mAh with 15-watt fast charge.

    Galaxy A10

    The A10 is the cheapest of the new Galaxy a series, coming with a 6.2-inch 720p LCD screen with a teardrop notch. It sports an Exynos 7884 processor with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a slot for microSD.

    It has a 13MP main camera with 1080p video and a 5MP front camera. The battery capacity on this one is 3400mAh.

    Galaxy A60 and A90

    These have not been mentioned yet, but there is a likelihood of a launch in the near future.
