    Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge

    After teasing it a couple of times, Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. The update was recently released to the previous-genenration Galaxy flagships in Poland, and now the company has confirmed the rollout of the same globally.

    The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge owners can look forward to get the latest software update starting today. The update is being rolled out over-the-air in phases, so you should be getting the notification to upgrade the device very soon. The update brings an enhanced TouchWiz interface and all the latest security fixes among others. Samsung is also bringing an enhanced edge screen and new edge screen features for the Galaxy S6 edge. Samsung has collaborated with Yahoo to deliver the latest information on stock prices, headlines and sports news directly to the Galaxy S6 edge’s curved screen.

    Now there is, with the enhanced edge screen and new edge screen features—part of the most recent OS upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Samsung has taken the unique user interface of the beautifully curved edge screen to the next level, making it faster and more convenient than ever to perform daily tasks and get the information you need, all with a simple swipe and tap.
    The company has also confirmed that other Galaxy devices compatible with Android Marshmallow will soon follow suit. The update comes days before the company unveils its next flagship phones the Galaxy s7 and s7 Edge later this week at MWC.
