Ranking of the world’s biggest tech companies

There is no longer just THE one cell phone, laptop, or camera brand that everyone would like to have. Formerly prestigious models like Blackberrys are used by very few people today. Instead, there is a multitude of corporations on the market selling their products and being the talk of the town. In this article, we rank them and present who earns the most.

Who do you think is leading the Brand Finance Global Ranking 500 so far in 2022? In fact, Apple is not only ranked number one among tech corporations but overall leads the index of all companies worldwide, maintaining last year’s position. With a record valuation of over 355 million US dollars, Apple leads the ranking. In fact, the sale of iPhones is still responsible for half of the revenue, even though Apple already made a lot of revenue this year with an overhauled version of the iMac and with various iPads. So those who bet on Apple were absolutely right – it is a pity that there’s no profit for the people with the right feeling. Those who feel like having a nose for good decisions can try their luck in online betting. There, players can bet on sports events and many other things and win money for the right tip. However, finding a reputable site with good conditions is not easy, especially for beginners, due to the large number of providers. Fortunately, there are comparison portals that present an overview with the best sites, attractive bonus offers and best RTP values. The portals are free of charge and present a list of reputable providers with just one click to find safe betting sites there.

The technology company that follows Apple in the Brand Finance Global Ranking is Microsoft. With a record valuation of 184 million US dollars, Microsoft is in fourth place overall on the overview list of all corporations and their revenues. With a net profit of 63.1 million US dollars in 2021, the company is one of the big players. Microsoft has been the market leader in PC operating systems and office packages since the 1990s. In the entertainment industry, Microsoft is very successful with products such as Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows Mobile. Earlier this year, Microsoft expanded even further by buying Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and other shooters from Activision Blizzard for 69 million dollars.

    Rank 3

Following Microsoft is the Samsung Group with a record valuation of 105 million dollars which is less than a third of Apple’s value. The group from South Korea whose name means “three stars” actually was the market leader in terms of smartphone sales in Europe in 2021 with a market share of 32 percent. Only in the fourth quarter of 2021, Samsung sold 69 million smartphones worldwide. With the launch of the new S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra models, sales figures are expected to stay on top. The best-selling model in 2021 was the Samsung Galaxy A12. In addition to smartphones, the Samsung Group’s product portfolio includes DRAM, SSD, and NAND flash memory, televisions, refrigerators, laptops, and tablets, among others.

    Rank 4

The Chinese group Huawei is behind its American and South Korean rivals. With 71-million-dollar record value, it lacks a lot to improve in the ranking. As recently as 2021, it was reported that the company’s sales figures were down significantly and continue to decline in Europe. In 2021, the market share for smartphones in Europe was only 4 percent which is only one-eighth of Apple’s sales figures. One reason might be that Huawei was subject to a U.S. trade ban in 2019, meaning that the company had to cancel some of its collaborations. Especially the fact that Huawei could no longer cooperate with Google and thus the smartphones could no longer offer Google services certainly deterred many buyers. The company stated that it still wants to expand on the global market, but that it would rather focus the greater part of sales and marketing strategies on the domestic sales areas.
