Plastic version of the HTC One released

From metal to plastic, seems the HTC One M8 has gotten its self some plastic surgery. This will make it even cheaper and a more colorful clone in the shape of the new One (E8). Its has of course almost everything about the original device, and this new handset is geared toward more price-sensitive markets like Asia and Africa, where it will be available with dual SIM card slots from early June.

Apart from the new polycarbonate body, the E8 also replaces the One’s UltraPixel camera with the 13-megapixel shooter as found on  it’s new Desire 816 and HTC One mini 2. There is no fancy Duo camera for depth perception, but we wont say we shall miss that feature. There is also no infrared blaster for those remote control needs. Otherwise HTC One experience remains in place, including the BoomSound speakers, Sense 6, and the fast Snapdragon 801 processor.

The One E8 also is compatible with HTC’s new Dot View case for the One M8 and adds some more colors like red and blue. It will cost about $450/€330/£267 in china.
