In May this year, Orange Group signed an MoU with intention to sell the company to Africell Holdings LTD a deal which the regulator UCC recently gave an initial green-light pending final approval after a two weeks notice period. It has come to our intention that now the Orange Uganda employees intend to sue the company and here is why.

The intended sell of Orange Uganda Ltd to Africell Holdings Beirut Lebanon is now seen a fraudulent as communicated to the regulator on the 24/8/2014 plus the CEO Orange Uganda Limited. The Plaintiffs who are the employees of Orange Uganda Limited have engaged the legal services of M/S OWEN MURANGINRA & CO Advocates to recover their benefits as stated in their appointment letters from Orange Uganda before the sale if affected.

The Parties involved include: Orange Uganda LTD, ATLAS services Belgium a wholly owned subsidiary of France Telecom and Africell Holdings (SAL). If the Africell Holdings goes through with the purchase knowing the pending litigation has not been finalized it will be an accessory to the fact Orange Uganda LTD’s intended fraud it’s Employees and abscond without paying their  benefits as stated in their appointment letters. See evidence letters below sent to ED of UCC which UCC received on 28th/8/2014.
