In adherence to guidelines issued by government to stop the spread of COVID-19, the National Social Security (NSSF) Fund has moved all its services online. With is move, members will no longer need to go to the NSSF’s branches to access services. All Funds Service offerings including member registration and Benefits claims will now be accessible on the Fund’s Self—Service Channels.
NSSF has several services that Ugandans in lockdown can access. The most outstanding service will be the NSSF Go App.
The National social security fund unveiled their revamped NSSF Go app in 2018 with a blooming hope of easing savings and customer relations. As much as we trekked a great path with the NSSF Go app in one interesting review of it, the app now has more features available via a single Update click. In addition, the NSSF Go app already has a 4.5 star rating in the Google play store making it a time saver amidst the ordinary procedures.
With over 10,000 downloads registered to the Go engineered app, an a vision of ensure that there will be no need of a queue at the physical offices when you have the app. For instance, the app now features a contact update feature that grants you the comfort of editing personal details with ease. In addition, the retirement projection feature can help you track your future savings all on your smartphone as the NSSF Go app now features all these in a single package.
There is also a Web App that NSSF subscribers can access via www.nssfgo.app or of your feature phone you can use USSD Code *254# at your convenience. Other services available on the Self—Service Channels are:-
1. Payment of monthly NSSF contributions — both mandatory and voluntary
2. Member account balances and detailed contributions statements
3. Members’ accounts information
4. NSSF Clearance Certificate for suppliers
