    Nokia could announce it’s first Android Smartphone on February 24th

    Nokia may be known recently for its Windows 8 phones, but it seems that’s all about to change at Mobile World Congress 2014 press event if rumors are to be believed. As Nokia is predicted to throw a low budget Android phone our way.  You can mark your calendars for Monday, February 24 when the event will start at 7:30AM GMT/10:30AM EAT.

    According to the press invite we see below, that reads “Meet us under the tree,” doesn’t reveal much.Rumormill suggests that the there (tree) could be 3 new Lumia phones : the 1520V, 1525 and 1820.

    The Lumia 1520V may have the following

    • 4.3″ smartphone
    • 1080p resolution
    • 2GB of RAM
    • 32GB of storage,
    • Snapdragon 800 chipset
    • 14MP camera at the back
    • A 3,000mAh battery capable of wireless charging.

    Next the Nokia Lumia 1820, is expected to have

    • Snapdragon 805 chipset
    • 3GB of RAM
    • 5.2″ display of 2K resolution
    • 3,400mAh battery.
    • Internal storage of about 32GB with no microSD

    The Lumia 1525 phablet is going to be the third phone of the family 6″ phone with the same specs as the 1820.

    And then there is Normady (just a codename), the most leaked phone of 2014 so far, which is a highly anticipated Android smartphone from Nokia.  It’s rumored to run on the latest Android 4.4.1 KitKat and pack a 854 x 540 resolution display, with a Windows like UI and dual SIM capabilities (don’t expect LTE)

    Till Mobile World Congress in February, we wait and see what comes from the Nokia team.
