Galaxy S10, LG G8, and all the phones to be unveiled at the MWC 2019

The end of every February is a gathering time for mobile enthusiasts to find out the trends that will rule the year in the mobile industry. At the
Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the biggest announcements in mobile are made, highlighting what is to trend and rock as the year rolls on. MWC 2019 won’t be any different.

This year’s event is officially scheduled to take place between February 25 and 28. Given the prior preparations of individual manufacturers, some launch events come before the show officially starts. The best instance being Samsung, which is holding its Unpacked event tomorrow, on February 20.

In no particular order, we are availing the top gadgets that are likely to be unveiled at the MWC 2019, despite the Galaxy S10 making the most of headlines – which is not a surprise.

    Samsung Galaxy S10

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ will be launched on February 20th and Samsung is expected to launch at least three devices on the day. These are: an entry-level S10 Lite possesing a 5.8-inch display, a standard 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 and a premium 6.4-inch Galaxy S10+

The S10+ is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery, while the standard S10 will come with a 3,500mAh battery. The budget S10 model could bring a 3,000mAh battery with a bezel-free display, and Infinity-O display.

    Samsung Galaxy X foldable phone

Samsung is also planning to launch a 7.3-inch folding display, said to be made with Samsung’s Infinity Flex AMOLED technology. It’s likely the resolution will be around 1,532 x 2,152, which is 360ppi.
Rumours suggest that the Galaxy X will arrive with two 3,100mAh batteries, 512 GB of storage as well as dual-SIM support.

    Huawei 5G foldable phone

Given that the company’s P30 flagship is coming in March, it is likely that the 5G foldable phone will headline at the MWC. At least we can rely on the announcement made at the end of Huawei’s pre-MWC 2019 briefing in Beijing, China, where company CEO Richard Yu affirmed how they look forward to Barcelona where they will launch “the world’s first 5G smartphone with foldable screen.”

    LG G8

The LG G8 is expected to be announced at MWC on February 24, with the company confirming that it will be launching a phone on the day. We also expect a 5G phone to be announced by LG at the event, coming with a 4,000mAh battery, a vapor cooling chamber, and a Snapdragon 855 chipset.

    Sony Xperia XZ4

Sony will be addressing a press conference on February 25. However, the silence has been loud in this camp. Despite leaked renders of a phone and revealing a triple-lens camera on the back, there has not been much to rely on as something for MWC.

But the leak points at the unveiling of a  Sony Xperia XZ4, expected to come along with a 6.5-inch display and a 21:9 aspect ratio, giving it a bigger widescreen than what we have already seen.

    Xiaomi  Dual Flex

Xiaomi will be at MWC 2019, and will also holding a press conference on February 24, though we are not completely sure of the brand launching her foldable device. The foldable phone sports a screen that has two folds on either side making it a double folding phone with screens that fold back behind the main display as the User Interface instantly responds.

Beyond the above, we expect strong mentions from OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, ZTE, and Nokia; the talk of 5G technology, and more amazing foldable devices, among others. We shall detail each of the announcements as they come in after the Mobile World Congress 2019 commences.
