MTN Uganda has silently brought back the famous midweek data campaign known as Gaga Wednesday without any official communications from the yellow team. Curious customers discovered the Gaga Wednesday purchase option and took to social media to express their excitement for the return of the promotional data offer.
This comes barely after two months when MTN Uganda discontinued the Gaga Wednesday package and tried to woo their customers with two new data promotions including the recent MTNDabolo offer on daily bundles.
The MTN Gaga journey previously spanned for a duration of 2 years and was valid for 24 hours until users discovered a hack to extend the subscribed offers to any duration which forced MTN to revised the plan and package before calling an end to it in May 2019.
There’s no official communication about when MTN Uganda will officially launch the new revised edition of Gaga Wednesday but from the customers that have managed to subscribe to it today got 4GB data at a price of 5000ugx valid until Saturday. We can’t confirm if MTN will continue to let their bundles run for a duration of three days or less.
How to activate the new Gaga Wednesday bundles
Keep in mind the option to purchase Gaga Wednesday is fully available for only customers using an Android phone and the iOS version is still under development.
Step 1: Download and Install the MTNMoMo Uganda app either from PlayStore or App Store.
Step 2: Deposit or check if you have enough mobile money on your account lets say UGX 5,000 or more
Step 2: Register/Login to access your control dashboard. A quick how to Register is Enter your mobile number> then later your mobile money pin> and finally the 5 digit code that will be sent to your phone.
Step 3: Choose the first option to Buy Gaga Wednesday from the list.
Step 4: Buy the bundle and approve purchase to use the revised Gaga Wednesday bundles.
