    MTN revises Mobile Money rates for sending to other networks

    Effective 8th April 2022

    Life got simpler with the introduction of mobile money in Uganda which ushered in many services like bill payments by telecom companies. There were no more annoying long queues, which saved us a lot of time enabling payment for the bills within our comfort zone at any time. MTN Mobile Money Limited Uganda has made its rates more affordable if you want to send money to for example an Airtel subscriber effective today 8th April 2022.

    With the biggest percentage of mobile money customers in Uganda using MTN Mobile Money sits with comfort on top of the ‘most used mobile money service’ list. Therefore, these new rates will directly affect how the biggest percentage of all mobile money users in Uganda transact on the service.

    The bills and services have been categorized into two groups. The first group of bills includes School Fees, Donations, Church, MKOPA, ReadyPay Solar, and Betway. The second category has TV services like StarTimes, Zuku, DSTV, and utility services like NWSC, UMEME, and UEDCL.

    The new MTN Mobile Money bill payment rates are as follows:
