It is not known as of writing what kind of smartphones is MTN giving out but the most likely bet is the new affordable bundled package of Fero and 1GB of MTN data, that the two companies recently launched. Aside from that, it could be any smartphone that supports MTN’s deployed network that supports 4G LTE, 3G and 2G and likely candidates are broad here.

How do you win these MyPakaPaka smartphones?

A customer has to dial *160*1# and choose MyPakaPaka with MBs and thereafter pick any of data bundle of their choice.

MTN normally provides three of these bundles but their volume and price is commensurate of your spend habits on MTN data and other services. In other words, it is not a fixed amount and neither is it a fixed price for data bundles, but rather it is determined by your loyalty to MTN in utilizing their wide range of services.
