It’s been a long 2019 for mobile telecom companies in Uganda the highlights of which included; UCC putting into effect the proposed telecom framework, MTN are still stuck in negotiations with the telecom regulator for a license renewal, Smile telecom introduced a somewhat true unlimited internet bundle. Also, Africell changed strategy with a whole new initiative and lets not forget the UTL saga where government officials have been clashing in a bid to revive it (TL:DR, it involved some mafias).
