We’ve seen new trends arise this 2019, but we haven’t seen it all yet. Just when we were contemplating on whether the hole-punch is the new notch; Meizu brought in the different.
The company has launched the world’s first port-less and button-less smartphone – the Meizu Zero in China. Unlike the norms, this device bears none of physical buttons, speaker cutout, 3.5mm jack port or a USB charging port.
Instead, the phone is made with a pressure sensitive touch panel which can be used as the power and volume button. In the place of a speaker, you get a piezoelectric transducer under the display which creates the sound.
Don’t ask how the phone will charge. The Meizu Zero will be the first phone to rely completely on an 18W fast wireless charging technology. Similarly, if you wish to transfer data to and from the phone, it will be only via Wi-Fi and mobile networks.

Meizu Zero Specifications
Meizu Zero has a 5.99-inch AMOLED display, and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with an Adreno 630 GPU. We are yet to know about the RAM, storage, software and battery specs. The device supports Meizu’s own 18W mCharge wireless charging technology.
The device sports a dual camera set up on the back consisting of a 12MP primary Sony IMX380 sensor paired with a 20MP secondary IMX350 AI sensor. On the front, it features a 20MP sensor for taking selfies.
The company is yet to reveal the price and availability of the device, but we can confirm that the phone comes in Black and White variants.
