LTE comes to the Microsoft Surface 2

Microsoft has been lagging behind in terms integrating mobile broadband LTE into their Surface line of tablets compared to their Android and ipad counterparts. For the few Surface users who wanted an internet connection had to rely on WiFi hotspots or instead tether their tablet to their phone. Today the company has released an LTE friendly version of their Surface 2 tablet, and will go on sale from March 18th.

“We are continuously being asked for a Surface that allows you to use mobile broadband” Microsoft’s Panos Panay said today on the company’s blog.

Its a rare scenario to see any one in Uganda with a Microsoft Surface tablet, and for the few who have them should have hope that they could upgrade to an LTE friendly tablet soon.
