How the MOGO Smartphone Loan Works

To make smartphone ownership more attainable, MOGO Uganda has designed a straightforward and accessible loan process.

Customers can secure their preferred itel smartphone by paying an initial deposit that starts as low as 28% of the device’s total price. This upfront payment is intentionally kept affordable to ensure that a wider segment of the population can participate in the program, regardless of their income level.

After making the initial deposit, customers are given the flexibility to pay off the remaining balance through daily, weekly, or monthly installments. The repayment period can extend up to 52 weeks, allowing customers to choose a schedule that best fits their financial situation. Daily payments for some models start from as little as UGX 1,136, making the process both convenient and budget-friendly.

You only need to present a national ID and an Airtel SIM card that is registered in your identity. There is no requirement for collateral or proof of income, which significantly lowers the barriers to entry for many Ugandans. The approval process is highly efficient, typically taking less than 15 minutes, so customers can walk away with their new smartphone on the same day.

To take advantage of this offer, customers can visit any MOGO Uganda outlet, select Airtel service centers, or connect with authorized MOGO agents located throughout the country. This widespread availability ensures that the program reaches both urban and rural communities.

    Bonus: Free Airtel Data

In addition to making smartphones more affordable, MOGO Uganda and Airtel are also providing a valuable incentive to help customers get the most out of their new devices. Every customer who purchases a smartphone through this financing scheme receives 3GB of free Airtel data every month for three months. This bonus data package is designed to help new users get online immediately, whether for education, business, or staying connected with friends and family.
