LG’s next Android phone leaked in photos and video

According to sources from Engadget ,several leaked photos of a new LG device that could succeed last year’s Optimus G have leaked. Dubbed as the Optimus G2, the phone is to be Officially unveiled on August 7th press event in the US.  Looking at the leaks the phone takes some design language from LG’s
Nexus 4, with rounded corners, an almost edge-to-edge screen, and no
hardware buttons. Its back, however, looks significantly more sloped, without the Nexus 4’s hard edges. According to Engadget, the device is expected to have a whooping 5.2-inch 1080p screen.

LG is known to have reported  that its next Optimus G phone will come with a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, something Engadget’s anonymous tipster also confirms. We also expect 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. The big elephant in the room is the placement of the volume rocker key set right below the rear camera in the center of the phone. We doubt if it’s a good idea but we shall wait and see if it catches on  — but it’s definitely a differentiating feature.
