    Jumia launches 2019 Anniversary Sale with exciting discounts

    It’s approaching July and the online shoppers can begin to get set for yet another shopping spree. This time of the year calls for the annual Anniversary sale from JUMIA with this year’s campaign running from June 24th to July 14th 2019. One thing that is for sure is: “mind-blowing discounts on all products”.

    A lot has been achieved by the brand over the past year, and there is indeed a lot to celebrate about. From a largely successful Mobile Week that brought the Easter mood closer to shoppers, to the IPO listing – which made Jumia the first internet startup built in Africa to be listed on the NYSE, where it will be trading under the name JMIA.

    Jumia is celebrating it all with a mega birthday sale that give customers up to 77% discount on all products, and a lot more offers to look forward to during the 3-week celebrations.

    Shoppers will be able to enjoy the usual fast delivery when shopping off Jumia Express. Here you can be sure of getting your order products within 24 hours in Kampala. Additionally, customers can choose an insurance option for theft and damage of the products they have ordered for, starting from as low as UGX 5,000.

    The company has also introduced a new Assortment of Jumia Global on the platform, where customers have an additional half a million products from which to order and have them shipped from abroad. To this, you will able to enjoy all the mind-blowing discounts, daily Flash sales and treasure Hunts exclusive to the Jumia app.

    Jumia is partnering with various brands including Transtel, Reddington, Liberty Insurance, Samsung, MI, Nokia, BlueFlame and Skyworth to headline the anniversary sale. Mr Ron Kawamara, CEO Jumia Uganda stated that the company seeks to “continue to be innovative in finding more ways to solve problems faced by our vendors and customers.”  

    Mr. Paul Tesar, the Head of Growth at Jumia Uganda commended how Ugandans are increasingly embracing eCommerce and online shopping. He noted that top among reasons for this include availability of wider variety in assortment of products, affordable prices, convenience and trust.
