Is Google’s acquisition of Swiss Android alarm clock app Timely; a move to kill the app off ? Not that we will be surprised

According to a post, on the Bitspinwebsite, the company has this week  announced the acquisition of their Timely  app by Google. The big question to ask is why Google chooses to acquire the Timely app of all alarm clock apps on the Android. The answer is simple; the app is damn beautiful, and Google wants beautiful apps, although this could seek to assure users that the acquisition won’t mean Timely is winding down anytime soon, we certainly have our doubts.

For more assurance the Bitspin team’s blog post reads

“For new and existing users, Timely will continue to work as it always has,”

But given given Google’s common law of buying and ditching or even still neglecting apps and services like dump and Sparrow mail app, our faith in the search Giant’s continued operations is certainly very slim although if they keep up to their promise, it will be a welcome move.
