My Google drive is almost full, and out of the free 15 GB I get, over 93% space has been used. There is no doubt that Google storage is the modern-day hard drive. It’s the place where our most important thoughts, documents, and memories reside. But just like with a traditional hard drive, the space isn’t infinite, and running out of room can be a real problem that I am actually facing.
As is explained before, Google gives you 15GB of space to use for everything associated with your account. (If you have a paid Google Workspace — formerly G Suite — account, your limit’s likely higher,) but very few people have these. Your Google storage is connected to your Gmail, Google Drive, and all Google Photos saved after June 1st. Needless to say, data adds up fast.

If you want to check your current storage status just visit this page, and if push comes to shove, you can purchase more space there, too, for as little as UGX 7,300 ($2) a month or UGX 74,000 ($19.99) a year for an extra 100GB. I think this is worth it if you take Google to be your one and only source of storing all your content. With this, you will get access to Google experts, the option to add your family, and other Extra member benefits. But shelling out more money might not be necessary if you can deep-dive into what you already have stored and clean shop. A quick round of old-fashioned housekeeping could be enough to clear away your virtual cobwebs and give yourself ample room to grow.
If you feel you want to increase your Google Storage further you can go up to 200 GB or 2TB of storage. For the former, you get 3% back in the Google Store and the latter you get VPN for Android phone on top of the other features at $ 3 and $10 a month respectively.
Personally, after an audit of my Google Storage, I will need to upgrade to the 100GB package, but again this shouldn’t an option for everyone, you can resort to a detailed clean up on your free 15GB space by cleaning up your junk mail or free up photo or video space that you get by default and life will remain the same.
