Facebook owned-app Instagram is working on a fresh and new Stories User Interface, while drawing inspiration from the manual circular mode switcher as on a DSLR camera. The new interface will see a rounded selector making its way to Instagram to aid you in effecting your Stories camera modes before posting.
According to Jane Manchun Wong, renown for uncovering yet-to-be released social media features, the camera modes in this new layout have been cut from eight to just three – Normal, Create and Live.
The Normal mode plays host to capture modes like ‘Superzoom’ and ‘Rewind’, as well as Instagram’s AR effects tools. The Create mode is where you can find text and sticker tools to use on your Stories. Live remains as is, to do live streaming.
The cut does not imply that the other five have been removed, they have instead been categorized into these new elements.
What does this mean for you?
Basically, as you want to create a Story to post, you just have to scroll about in order to add in the effects you want, like you would do on a camera. This is a much improved exposure for those that want to do as much edit to their posts as possible.
