After the launch of world’s largest taxi service in Uganda this month, we’ve received many questions from our readers who still wonder what Uber exactly is, where they came from where they are, why they existing and the story goes on. We were contacted by the guys at Unboxing deals who requested us to share the Uber story with our readers, which we have finally decided to do. The Infographic below details the entire story of Uber right from inception, the number of services that the company offers in other countries, rounds of funding and investments the company has made over the year. Obviously being a western-centric infographic it neglects to mention the competition Uber faces in Uganda with startups like Transprt.me.
