    Infinix is upgrading the Smart series with three rear cameras

    Infinix Mobility has made strong statements since the start of the year. The brand has announced a piece of each of its budget phone series: beginning with the Infinix Hot 7 in the Hot Series, unleashing the new Infinix S4 in the S series, and is now preparing to unveil the Smart 3 in the Smart Series.

    The new entry level phones come in succession after the Smart 2 and Smart 2 Pro, as the Infinix Smart 3 and Smart 3 Plus. The key spoiler here is: both phones are 4G network compatible while the Plus version is the superior one with a bigger battery, and having twice as much memory and storage space.

    On the outlook, the two devices are really different, with the Smart 3 sporting a 5.5-inch display without a notxh while the Infinix 3 Plus comes with a 6.1-inch display screen accommodating a HD+ resolution of 720×1520 pixels with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. You will get the Plus variant with a water-drop notch on its display screen, something close to what is on the Infinix S4, and in the notch is the 8 megapixels front-facing camera.

    The Smart 3 too does have an 8 MP sensor, and its rear is a composition of a dual setup with 13+8 MP sensors boosted by Artificial Intelligence. The Smart 3 Plus features a triple rear camera setup of 13+2+ a QVGA sensor.

    The standard Smart 3 has 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, and about 3050 mAh battery capacity while the Plus sports 2 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of storage plus 3500 mAh battery will give ample time to enjoy videos and games for a long time. There is also a microSD slot to enable you enhance the storage to up to 256 GB

    Both devices ship with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, will run on XOS 5.0 based on Android Pie, and are powered with MediaTek Chipset, Helio P22 that is paired with IMG PowerVR GPU.

    The Infinix Smart 3 has already hit the market in a number of markets on the continent. We await the Ugandan launch.
