    Infinix S3 vs Infinix S4: The key similarities and differences

    This May, Infinix unveiled the new Infinix S4, a successor to last year’s Infinix S3 coming with so many new features – both for Infinix products and the brand’s S-series. The S4 is the first Infinix device to come out-of-the-box running the Android 9 Pie OS with Infinix’s Custom XOS Cheetah 5.0 on top of it. It is also the first to feature a water-drop notch and the first to have a triple rear-camera setup.

    Last year’s S3 is super cool, it is not one to overlook especially with the amazing specifications it packs; However, the S4 is an even more impressive gadget with awesome new features and extraordinary photography. You can check out the device review for more details to this.

    Both phones come under the Infinix mid-range line, the S-series, which are primarily selfie camera smartphones but the S4 is pushed further with an improved rear camera array and some fine polish to the design.

    Similarities

    There are features that these two phones have in common. The two come with similar 4000 mAh battery, 4G connectivity support, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM for the standard versions of each, as well as the fact that both are underlined with super cool front cameras.

    Differences between the Infinix S3 and Infinix S4

    The Infinix S4 has a screen display size of 6.2 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels with a water-drop notch and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, while the Infinix S3 has a screen size of 5.7 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The S3 has a smooth back panel sporting a camera with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor, while the S4 has a shiny surface with a triple rear camera setup, an LED flash and fingerprint sensor on it.

    The Infinix S4 rear cameras comprise of 13 + 8 + 2 MP lenses with F/1.8 aperture and quad-LED flash, while the S3 has a single rear camera of 13-megapixel with dual LED flash. For selfies, the S4 has a front facing camera of 32-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture, FaceID, HD, 6-level AI face Beauty, while the Infinix S3 has a 20-megapixel front camera sensor.

    When it comes to performance, the S4 has a MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset with Quad-core 2.0 GHz processor and PowerVR GE8320 for graphics, while the S3 has a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset with an octa-core processor that clocked at 1.4 GHz and Adreno 505 for graphics. The S4 runs on XOS Cheetah alongside Android 9.0 Pie, while the S3 runs on XOS 3.0 alongside Android 8.1 Oreo.
