Infinix Note 8 is here. Check out the specs, price and where to buy from

The Infinix Note 8 is officially here and it seems to confirm most if not all the speculation we had about it. From the powerful G80 Processor, the quad-camera setup, a massive 5200 mAh battery with fast charging among others as we are yet to see.

The Note 8 is the natural successor to the Note 7 that also happened to have launched a few months ago to much praise. We had our own take on the phone which you can enjoy below. And true to the note name, it comes in a much beefier package compared to other phones within its range, counting over 6GB of RAM, 128GB of memory. The Note 8 also omits the stylus, as were the case with the Note 7.

    The Note 8i Surprise

Surprisingly, Infinix launched two variants of the same phone. The regular Note 8 and a ‘smaller” Note 8i with which it shares much of the internals albeit in a smaller 171.4 x 77.7 x 8.9 mm body. With that said, the Note 8i has a slightly smaller screen of 6.78 inches compared to the Note 8’s 6.95 inches.

Other differences are exhibited in the camera department as well with the Note 8i’ spotting a 48MP + 2MP + 2MP + 2MP Quad camera setup at the back and an 8MP selfie camera compared to the Note 8’s  64 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP + 2MP back and 16MP selfie cameras. The Note 8i also comes with 4GB RAM instead of 6GB as is the case with the Note 8.

Comparisons aside, the two phones seem to have a lot going for them and we look forward to testing these once we get hold of them.

Prices and where to buy from

The Infinix Note 8 will retail for a recommended price of UGX 782,000 while its other sibling, the Note 8i will slightly be cheaper at UGX 659,000 at all Infinix branded shops countrywide.
