The first experience with the Infinix Note 6 is relative to unwrapping your dream smartphone. It is worth it and indeed meets expectations with vast improvements from the features that the Note 5 had, as well as a better design and build all at an appealing cost.
The phablet is smartly designed and, like we have previously told, it comes with a combination of cool hardware and effective software which does impress on first touch. To this you add the interesting specifications on it that make it a device worth having.

We had the Note 6 for two weeks and we are reviewing its every aspect. It is available in Midnight black, Blue, Mocha Brown colors – and our review device is the brown colored one.
Hardware and Build
The first thing to notice about the Note 6 is the missing notch. We have seen almost every other new mid-range smartphone coming with a notch, either unique or resembling the existent. The Note 6 does not consider this and it comes with the usual screen.

The device is slim making it easier to hold in your palms and a fitting in pant pockets and side bag zippers. To the slender build, Infinix managed to make the device a lot lighter and easier to move about with.
Cameras
On the rear, the Note 6 sports a triple camera array – something that has become a norm for mid range and high end devices on the market today. A combination of a 16 MP camera, a secondary 8 MP sensor with wide angle, and a third 2 MP depth sensor does not disappoint.
Here, you can juggle between the intelligent AI CAM, Beauty, Bokeh, and AR shots – as well as do videography at ease. You can also opt to take a wide-angle shot, alternate the size if the image you want and even the coloring.

Into selfies? You won’t be let down on this. The 16 MP front camera employs precisely the same settings, while giving you the option to capture by touching the screen with your finger and easily giving you enough light in dark environments with the flash light.

Infinix Note 6 Software
The Infinix Note 9 runs on Android Pie over the XOS 5.0 also known as Cheetah. We have taken note that the combination between these two offers a unique and easy to use interface that turns almost every activity intelligent and Smart.
The ability to switch between modes based on the environment you are in is a great addition from Infinix. There are lot more features that are worth noting such as the Silent screen recording, One-hand, Multi-window, among others that make using the device a lot more premium.

The only downside to this are the ‘Instant Apps’ which appear like ads set there to consume your mobile data and unnecessary tapping can lead you into uncalled for costs. To this you add the pop-ads that keep cropping up in the name of the X-club.
Performance
The Note 6 packs a 4GB/64GB memory combination – representing the RAM and the internal storage space respectively. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with an Octa-Core 2.3 GHz CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This is good enough for all your basic gaming needs and any more work you could need of it.

It comes with an X-Pen that adds value to a lot of what you can do on your smartphone. We shall detail more on what exactly the X-Pen does and how it does this. Generally, the Note 6 is swift in performance and does not lag in any way.
The Note 6 packs an impressive 4000mAh battery with 10W fast charge which should be able to last up to 3 days after a 100% charge. Like the recent Infinix releases, this too has a Battery lab in the phone settings, which keeps you aware of how much time you have left for the battery to die out.
Security-wise, you can choose between having a screen lock like a pattern, PIN or Password; a fingerprint unlock; or a face unlock to keep your phone secure from intruders.

Verdict
The Infinix Note 6 is the rightful successor to the Note 5 from last year, with excellent specifications at a cool price. I would have asked for a notched screen on this one, for a bigger area, but whatever is available is good enough.
