Infinix recently launched the Hot 7 device, a mid range smartphone with that premium look that makes you think it qualifies for flagship status. Last year, we saw the Hot 6 coming with equally impressive features, though suitable for the market then.
One thing to note is that the Hot 7 is the successor to the 6, coming after the Infinix Hot 6X which debuted the notch for the Hot series. Any smartphone lover with a sense of fashion will tell you how smart the notch makes a phone look.
In between there, we saw the Hot 6 Pro which had a dual rear camera setup – one more than the single 13 MP sensor on the Hot 6.
Fast forward, we have the Hot 7 on the market, and we question whether it is worth an upgrade for you to get it if you have been holding the Hot 6 since May 2018.

You’ll find much of the similarity, though not all of it, in the performance sector of the two devices. Both devices come with two variants of 1 GB and 2 GB, with a 4000mAh battery to each, Face Unlock at the front cam, and a fingerprint scanner at the back.
The two run on Android Oreo, with the Hot 6 running the Go edition of the OS, and they also come with the 3D DIRAC audio technology which lets you listen to calls and music clearly without using earphone.
