    The latest renders of the upcoming Sony PlayStation 5 show a futuristic gaming device that will rival all other gaming devices. The 3D renders based on leaked patent papers were released by LetsGoDigital and they show a device that one would love grace one’s living room.

    Assuming these renders are close to reality, the PlayStation 5 design will be a massive change from the current-generation PlayStation 4 pro and the earlier PlayStation 4 .     These renders are speculative, but the documents from which they were created are confirmed to be registered to the World Intellectual Property Office, while a deleted tweet from a Codemasters senior artist confirmed that the documents were of the upcoming gaming console device’s development kit.

    The PlayStation 5’s hardware console will be powered by a new CPU and GPU. It will feature a third-generation AMD Ryzen octa-core processor with eight cores, and a custom AMD Radeon Navi GPU.

    The graphics chip will support ray tracing, and have support for 8K graphics. Storage in the PlayStation 5 will be taken care of with SSDs, compared to the PlayStation 4’s current hard drives.

    If this is all puns out to be true, the PlayStation 5 will be 10-times faster than a PlayStation 4 Pro at loading complex scenes and will be backwards compatible with PlayStation 4 games.

    Sony’s last big foray into the gaming world was in Virtual reality where it ear marked the future of Gaming and announced the PlayStation VR. The VR was launched at a cost of $399 (UGX 1.4 million).
