n a year that has seen the industry grow wilder in love with edge to edge displays, the notch, and multiple cameras; then comes in the punch hole!
Just the past week, Samsung launched her Galaxy A8S series featuring a distinctive “hole-punch” design for the phone’s selfie camera located at the top left of the display.
While the party is not over yet, Huawei has unveiled the Nova 4, the brand’s hole-punch device coming with a number of interesting features.

The Cameras
The Huawei Nova 4 comes in two variants, both of which bear a triple rear camera setup. One has a 48-megapixel primary sensor – a Sony IMX586, while the other has a 20-megapixel primary sensor.
Besides the primary sensor, the other two cameras include a 16-megapixel 117-degree ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel with an f/2.4 aperture for depth-sensing. These come with a single LED flash.
At the front is the 4.5mm wide display hole, having a 25-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. With such, a manufacturer can freely increase the phone’s screen size without minding about its footprint.

Huawei Nova 4 Specifications
The Nova 4 sports a 6.4-inch IPS LCD screen with a 2,310 x 1,080 resolution, a Kirin 970 SoC, 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is expected to run on Android 9, with a 3750mAh battery capacity. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
