    How to retrieve a Yaka Token using Airtel and MTN Mobile Money

    Yaka is a pre-paid digital form of electricity metering method that doubles as UMEME’s default preferred type in. Saving on electricity is what everyone prefers since the lower the consumption, the lower the cost. You can now retrieve your last Yaka token using the much popular Airtel Money or MTN Mobile Money.

    The CONLOG branded Yaka devices are fond of producing two quick beeps each time an invalid Token is fed to the device. However, nothing disappoints like having 0.0kwh left and not receiving any confirmation message nor token from UMEME after a successful deduction of the planned fees.

    UMEME mobile app is a cross platform self service app developed to ease service delivery and make bill payments directly anytime anywhere. The UMEME app now has options to allow mobile money single token retrieval feature Nevertheless here is how you can retrieve all lost and previous Yaka tokens using the Airtel Money or MTN Mobile Money.

    Using Airtel Money

    1. Dial *185#
    2. Select {4} Pay Bill
    3. Select {1} UMEME Touchpay
    4. Select {4} Token Enquiry
    5. Enter AirtelMoney Transaction ID
    6. Enter pin.

    Retrieve your last Yaka Token from UMEME App

    1. Download & install the UmemeApp from any App store. Android and iOS
    2. Select Yaka Tokens from Home menu
    3. Enter meter no.
    4. Token details will be generated instantly

    To retrieve lost and recent Yaka tokens, simply load the UMEME mobile app and navigate to the app’s Account Balance tab. Next, go to the My Yaka! Tokens option to enter a meter number whose details you wish to check. More so, you can enter up to 5 meter numbers and retrieve their recent Yaka tokens in a single click.

    Using MTN Mobile Money

    1. Dial *165#
    2. Select {4} Payments
    3. Select {1} Utilities
    4. Select {1} UMEME Touchpay
    5. Select {3} Get Last YakaToken
    6. Enter Meter Number
