    How to pay for GoDaddy’s services without using PayPal or credit card

    GoDaddy is a popular registrar and web hosting company mainly dealing in products like Secure Socket Layer(SSL), domains, website template designs and hosting services.

    GoDaddy is very popular in Uganda with so many people opting to subscribe to their services mainly because of the simplicity and ease of setup of their services.The main challenge of purchasing services with GoDaddy is that you will need to use PayPal or use your credit card details to make payments.

    This is a flexible payment method especially in situations were you have no credit card or PayPal services are not very popular in Uganda.

    However GoDaddy has a little know payment method known as Good As Gold

    What is Good As Gold?

    Good As Gold is one of the payment methods used by GoDaddy were you can transfer funds to GoDaddy’s bank account from your bank account, GoDaddy will add the funds to your GoDaddy account once the wire transfer has been successfully completed.

    These funds can be use for future purchases, however GoDaddy has minimum requirements for you to use this type of payment method as explained below;

    1. Wire transfer deposits less than $1,000 receive a $20 fee. There is no fee for these transfers larger than $1,000.
    2. When setting up Good As Gold, the minimum deposit is $100. Subsequent deposits must be at least $5.
    3. You can close your Good As Gold account at any time, but there is a $20 fee to refund your remaining funds.

    How to Set up Good As Gold

    1. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
    2. Click the user icon in the upper-right corner:
    3. Choose the Payment Methods option.
    4. Click Good As Gold and complete the on-screen fields.
