When the Huawei Mate 30 Pro was launched last week, many fans of the previous generation like the Mate 20 Pro had already written it off due to the lack of Google Apps thanks to the Trump ban. This was not Huawei’s preference, but it has reluctantly said the phone will launch with AOSP, that’s the basic, open-source version of Android on it.
Which means there’s no Google Play Store, no YouTube, no Gmail, no Google Maps and so on, all of which require Google Mobile Services (GMS), and the current situation precludes Huawei launching with that.
Future Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Mate 30 owners don’t need to worry, loading GMS as it is not far from impossible, though it could be fraught with difficulties and require a steady nerve.
Today we shall show you how to loading Google apps to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro quickly, as the process is simple and highly effective.
- Go through all of the set-up processes as soon as you get your new phone and ensure you are connected to a solid WiFi network or a stable data connection
- Head to the browser and head to the Izplay.net website (Its a Chinese website so worry not). This will enable you download the Google Play services framework installer apk file
- Hit the big blue button to download the installer apk (its a 2,93 MB file), pop up will appear press download and then Run it once it is in your downloads folder of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro .

- The installer will download and install all of the necessary frameworks and files on your Huawei Mate 30 Pro device and finally it will install the Google Play Store app

- At this point you should be able to run the Google Play Store, although you may be unable to signin, don’t worry just perform a device reset and the issue will be fixed
- Once powered on again, reopen the play store and signin

- You can now download all of the common Google apps one by one until you are contented. All will run as normal and will be locked in automatically
- If you encounter any issue after you install an app, just restart the phone and the issue will be fixed. This is common with Maps and YouTube. I advice that you first install every app you want, run them and then restart at once for an issue free process.
The above process will take about 5-10 minutes depending on your internet speed of course, but be assure your Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be google app friendly by the time you are done.
